In Pueblos across New Mexico and in most towns and villages, turquoise blue and/or bluish green painted doors and sometimes windows are common sites. These doors represent one of the 4 sacred directions of Pueblo life--the Southwest. It is also said these doors represent the sky and the ocean and offer peace and truth to the occupants.
